Emergencies & problems
For police, fire, ambulance, or mountain rescue, dial 999 or 112 from your mobile. The house address is: 1 Lochay Road, Killin, FK21 8TB.

The main power switch and fuses are in the cupboard under the stairs. If the electricity ‘trips’ for any reason (such as a power surge), switch all the fuses to the off position then on again, one by one. If the power continues to trip, contact us so that we can arrange for an electrician to visit.
Power cuts can be reported to SSEN by calling 105 and can be tracked on their website powertrack.ssen.co.uk/powertrack.
Smoke detectors are fitted in the kitchen, hallway and on the landing. The kitchen also has a carbon monoxide detector.
If the carbon monoxide detector is activated, you should follow these instructions:
- open all doors and windows
- turn off the gas hob and boiler and leave the house
- do not use any electrical switches or strike a match
- call the gas emergency service on 0800 111 999
- contact us so that we can arrange for repairs
Brown water. After periods of heavy rain or during maintenance by the water company, the water may become brown in colour. This is nothing to be concerned about and often happens. Run a cold tap until the water turns clear and don’t use the washing machine until the water has cleared. More advice is available from Scottish Water at: www.scottishwater.co.uk/your-home/your-water/water-quality/cloudy-or-discoloured-water
Please let us know by email if anything is broken.
